The Academic Coordinator Role

Your Academic Coordinators help you navigate academic and administrative policies and procedures, degree and program requirements, and Gillings/campus resources.

Please note that AC’s CANNOT assist students with issues of financial aid, student loans, or awards. Please contact the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid for assistance with any financial and funding issues or questions.

AC’s serve as your primary academic advisor for:

    • Degree planning and course scheduling
    • Drop/add, withdrawal/cancellation, leaves of absence, reinstatement/readmission process, transfer credit requests and policy exceptions
    • Tracking your degree progress toward graduation
